At the third workshop, the Raumbild Lab, presentations were accompanied by discussions to determine possibilities for implementing the approaches the URA project team has conceived as a ‘Raumbild’ in the Nordhausen area. Thanks to the expertise and visions for Nordhausen shared by participants, the project team has developed perspectives for development paths, milestones, and cooperation possibilities for the area. In addition, the team was able to collaboratively visualise 'roadmaps' to aid the implementation of the selected development approaches. During the workshop, the existing conditions of the region were critically reflected upon. Possible tools, roles, and cooperation structures for a more climate-sustainable development vision for Nordhausen were discussed among different groups.
All three workshops in the series have now been completed. These multiple-actor workshops in Nordhausen offered the URA project team a significant opportunity to explore the strategic planning process with Sino-German scientists and local citizens.
